KP221 Winter time at DUS. This a/c was operated on behalf of the Canadian Joint Staff at London, U.K. and not yet personal mount of the Commanding 3-star general as shown at the same a/c in other pics in the data-base. (more of KP221)

KP221 This Dakota did just arrive in a wonderfull winter weather and was assigned to the Canadian Joint Staff and based at London, U.K. Düsseldorf was often called by RCAF a/c visiting and supporting the Canadian troops in the Sauerland area not far away. During the 60ies the RCAF was operating a reasonable detachment at DUS/AP in order to handle numerous supporting flights for their troops. This Dakota was the personal mount of a 3-star general which was demonstrated by the 3 stars beneath the cockpit window (more of KP221)
