A7-AFL This has got to be one of the most spectacular departures I've ever seen. She was blown all over the place as soon as the first set of wheels left the runway. Seen here climbing out sideways (literally!) while battling with winds gusting up to 50kts. (more of A7-AFL)
N371AA Returning back to MAN approx 30 minutes after departure to MIA with an engine failure. She was surrounded by the fire crew for a good 30 minutes before shutting down both engines on the taxiway. Seen here being towed to stand with the fire crew keeping a close eye behind while following. (more of N371AA)
G-BOPU c/n 8059. Built in 1988. Making a right turn to a heading of 270 degrees towards Blackpool while climbing to 3000ft through the low level corridor, from Barton (EGCB). The co-pilot to the right applying the power to 120KTS after we had just received clearance. Check it out for yourself! :D [Pentax Optio S] (more of G-BOPU)
G-VBEE Seen here arriving back at MAN only an hour after departure. She was forced to turn back over the Atlantic Ocean while en route to Orlando, due to a problem with a panel on the left wing, resulting in this emergency landing. She then departed 2nd time lucky to MCO approx 45 minutes later... (more of G-VBEE)
AP-BAT Who needs ecstacy tablets to get such a fantastic buzz, when you can get an even better buzz just by going to the 06L approach lights and have a PIA 747 fly straight over your head, no more than 300ft and at full throttle!? (more of AP-BAT)
G-SATR Exactly an hour after this photo was taken, this aircraft collided with a 737 BMI Baby on the ground while both were taxiing out for departure. The wing tip of the Excel 762 made contact with 737's tail. The result of this was some damage to the 767's left wing tip, also the 737's right elevator and nose gear. Thankfully there were no casualties onboard. (more of G-SATR)
G-WWBM You wanna get closer?... I don't think you can get any closer! Notice how you can see the reflection of each wing on each side of the nose. Check out the detail on the landing gear too. One of my favourites that I've snapped in a while... (more of G-WWBM)
EI-CNW Vacating from 06R, after some heavy turbulence and a very windy approach, which involved alot of rudder action and a few wing-ups on touchdown. Both G-BOAC and G-IRJX can be seen, positioned in the Viewing Park. (more of EI-CNW)
EI-CNV This is what I've been waiting for... to see these mighty 732's in reverse while onboard. It was quite a sight, but very noisy! (more of EI-CNV)
G-BOAC "Ladies and Gentleman, if you look towards the front of the cabin, you'll see that we're now travelling at twice the speed of sound (faster than a rifle bullet) and cruising at 60,000ft"... If only this was still true :-) (more of G-BOAC)
G-BOAC Front half of the cabin... where many celebrities would of sat, until exactly one year ago today, when this supersonic bird was sadly retired. (more of G-BOAC)
G-BRYW Now this is what you call... A one wheel landing :D Check out the wing-up on this one. All of the Dash 8's gave us some very interesting landings this afternoon. (more of G-BRYW)
PH-BFR Check out those nice BMWs and Crystlers over the road at the rent-a-car, and that bright yellow bus! Oh... Not to forget the 747 flying overhead ;-) (more of PH-BFR)
