R6690 The Yorkshire Museum Gate Guard represents a 609 (West Riding) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force Spitfire, flown by their CO, Sqn Ldr Darley. The original R6690 was shot down over South London on Sept15.1940, and the pilot, P/O Daunt was killed. (mehr von R6690)

P3873 Is Gate Guard for the Yorkshire Air Museum, and is painted as YO:H of 1 Sq RCAF, the proper P3873 was shot down over Canterbury (UK) on Oct 05, 1940, with the pilot F/o Molson (RCAF) baling out. He survived the war and is now patron of the museum. (mehr von P3873)
