This DC-4 started life with Northwest Orient in 1946. This Skymaster operated with Air New-Mex in the early 1960s and went to Lufthansa in 1963 on a lease. You can still see the faded Northwest Orient c/s after 50 years...!

Great plane - the radome doesn't look too good however...but I guess after 10 years of 'storage' in the hot desert sun I wouldn't look much better either
