F-AZYS Taxiing in after its display at Flying Legends 2011. This radar-equipped Corsair was delivered to Argentine Naval Aviation and equipped 2da Escuadrilla Aeronaval operating on board ARA Independencia. Bought by a French owner, it was formerly painted as an Aeronavale 14.F Flotilla F4U-7. The Corsair now wears the markings of VMF(N)-513 Flying Nightmares operating as night fighters from Pusan during the Korean War. (mehr von F-AZYS)

70-0970 On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. This Corsair of 354th TFW with tail code "MB" for Myrtle Beach AFB was flown by Maj. Colin A. Clarke from Korat on a nine-hour rescue support mission on Nov. 18, 1972 over Thanh Hoa, Vietnam. Maj. Clarke made a number of passes through low cloud to locate the downed F-105 Wild Weasel crew through heavy AA fire and directed a HH-53 to do a DF letdown on him for the rescue, for which he received the Air Force Cross.
