N708Z Scan from a k-64 slide.CCCP56397 was delivered to the USAAF in 1945 as 45-0614. It was then transferred to the US Navy (Douglas RC-54V (R5D-3P). Later it was operated by the US Coast Guard as 5614. Sold to the civilian market as N708Z It was painted in this fake military colors with fake CCCP56397 reg. since it was used in the production of the 1989 movie "The Expert" with John Travolta. The owner of the plane was at that time Aero Union. It was sold in April 2004 to Brooks Fuel Inc. (more of N708Z)
39611 Scan from a k-64 slide. Just restored as R5C-1 with BuNo 39611, but it was actually ex N611Z, USAAF 43-47350. The plane has been then displayed at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola FL. (more of 39611)
